It's time for our annual Men's Retreat, and we realize it hasn't been a year since our last one, but we decided to move it from the Fall to the Spring to see if that worked better with more schedules. And, to be honest, we just wanted to go fishing again and have some fun together. The retreat is March 15-17 down at the Akin's cabin on the Land Cut. If you would like to go you need to sign up by Sunday, March 11. When you sign up on the bulletin board at the back be sure to designate whether you want to go on Thursday or Friday and whether or not you are bringing a boat. For those going you will need bedding, toiletries (yes, we have running watter and full facilities), and any fishing gear you want to take. Make sure to pack everything your taking as small as possible and in something water proof. It's a one hour boat ride to the cabin and you and your stuff could get wet.
If you have any questions be sure and see Johnny or Scott Akin, or Kenneth Clapp. There will be a quick meeting for all those going after morning services on the 11th at the front of the auditorium. Sign up now! You don't want to miss this great event.
We will be making some congregational tee shirts - a great way to promote the congregation as well as pick each other out of the crowd at special events like LTC, Relay for Life, etc. All orders and money need to be given to Dena Cano, or Carolyn Martinez by this SUNDAY! Youth shirts are $10.50, Adult shirts $11.50, XXL and XXXL are $2.00 more. A mock up of what the tee shirts would like like can be seen just below. The shirts are made from a sports material called wick guard. which is a type of atheltic dry weave shirt. They are the same size as regular t-shirts. Carolyn Martinez has a sample in a girls softball jersey if anyone wants to see it. It feels SOFT not slick like the spandex or under armor type materials. It should be a comfortable quick drying material.
Again, if you would like some then you need to place your order with Dena or Carolyn this Sunday (March 11)!
**Our Tee-shirts will NOT have numbers on the back :).
Ladies Day 2011 here at the Stockdale Church of Christ was a success! Ladies from several different congregations joined our ladies for a Spirit filled morning of fun, fellowship and study. Below is the audio for the different lessons that were given during the Ladies' Day.

We believe that God listens to and answers our prayers. Prayer is a major part of what we want to do together as a congregation when we assemble. It's also an intrigual part of our day to day Christian walk. You can help us make the most of our prayer ministry by keeping us updated with requests and updates. There are a few ways you can do that. You can call and leave a message at the building, or you can let Renee Dillingham at Maham's know. Renee has agreed to be a contact person for us for prayer requests though out the week. Or, you can post it in the prayer request forum on our website.
