Prayer is a powerful force in this life because the God we pray to is the power in this life. That is why this prayer request forum is being made available. Below are some instructions for posting to this forum (you must be a registered used in order to post). Also, please note that this forum is specifically for prayers requests concerning those who are not currently attending the Stockdale Church of Christ (friends, family and others). If you navigate back to the forum listings you will see there is another forum for prayer requests regarding members. It's not that we consider one group more important than the other, this was simply done to make it easier to try to organize the prayer requests in such a way that information can be more quickly found and put to good use in prayer. So feel free to post to both forum as often as you need to. The information from both forums is forwarded to the congregation leadership as well as communicated to the congregation.
Before you post please read the guidelines and instructions given below:
When you submit a prayer request to this forum please be sure that the information you post is correct.
Try not to pass on 3rd hand information because we've found that information that did not come directly from the source tends to be a little off more often than not.
Also, before you post, make sure no one else has already posted the same request. If you have additional information on a request that has already been posted, or an update, then please post that information as a response to the original post (that way all the information stays together and is easier to find.
When posting a request put the person's name that the request is for and a brief (10 word or less) description as the subject for the post. For example:
Subject: John Doe: Suffering from the flu
Then, in the body of the post you can put any information that you would like to share. Please think about what you write and remember that this is a public form so anyone can read it, so if there are some issues involved that the person you are requesting for would rather keep private, then ask their permission first, or you can tell or email the information directly to one of the shepherds or Kenneth.
Of course all this also applies if you are requesting prayers for yourself :)
